The Soulmate Collective is a Saskatoon neo-soul, jazz and funk ensemble formed around bassist-producer vbnd. Built from a rotating group of local Saskatchewan musicians including Katie Tupper, Connor Newton, Jesse McMillan and Ayden Draude, the collective became the live and recording band behind vbnd's 2021 album Scum Funk, which accounts for its six Northern Dial library tracks.
