Northern Dial Artist Profile

SUCKERPUNCH!

Montréal, Québec, Canada

Montréal pop-punk band SUCKERPUNCH! has built its identity around a deliberately direct, high-energy update of the genre’s early-2000s vocabulary. Rather than treating pop-punk as nostalgia alone, the group pairs big melodic hooks and fast guitar arrangements with modern production and a playful self-description built around keeping the music fun, immediate and communal.

The band’s independent releases developed into a rapidly expanding audience through songs such as "99," "Out of My Mind" and "SURVIVE YOU." In 2025 SUCKERPUNCH! signed with Nettwerk Music Group, giving the Montréal group a larger platform as it moved into its 2026 release cycle. The EP WORST PARTY EVER collected singles including "F.O.M.O.," "STANDING OVATION," "TROUBLE" and "RICH!," with a deluxe edition following in September 2026.

Streaming growth, editorial playlist support and appearances around the renewed pop-punk festival circuit have made SUCKERPUNCH! one of the more visible young Canadian bands working in the style. Their role in Northern Dial is as a snapshot of a genre revival that is no longer simply looking backward: Montréal musicians are using the old pop-punk framework as a contemporary independent scene of their own.
