Northern Dial Artist Profile

Matt Holubowski

Hudson, Québec, Canada

Matt Holubowski is a self-taught singer-songwriter from Hudson, Québec, whose writing moves between acoustic folk and more expansive arrangements. His earlier work includes Solitudes and Flowers on a Molten Lawn. He works with collaborators including Connor Seidel and has built a long-running career in Québec’s music scene.

“Black Cloud,” released in October 2026, is the lead single from Inside the Merry Loop, an album scheduled for January 22, 2027 through Next Door Records. Co-produced with Warren Spicer, the project returns to shorter songs and the fundamentals of Holubowski’s folk writing while examining repetition, difficult habits and change. “Black Cloud” is now playing on Northern Dial.
