Kelsi Mayne
Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Windsor, Ontario singer-songwriter Kelsi Mayne built her career independently, bringing country songwriting into contact with the R&B, soul and pop sounds that travelled across the Detroit River into her hometown. She first developed as a live performer while studying nursing, singing regularly at a Windsor country bar before moving into festival stages, radio and a self-managed recording career. Her 2020 debut album As I Go established that mix of country structure, forceful vocals and wider pop-soul influence.
Mayne’s catalogue continued to grow through singles including "All or Nothing," "Breaking Bad" and "For The Record." "Breaking Bad" reached the Top 50 at Canadian country radio, while "For The Record" earned placement through SiriusXM’s The Highway and major Canadian country playlists. She has also appeared at major Canadian country festivals including Boots and Hearts, Big Valley Jamboree and the Calgary Stampede, while earning multiple CMAOntario nominations and recognition through the International Songwriting Competition.
Her 2026 sophomore album Out of the Blue pushed the independent career into a new phase after years of writing in Nashville and steadily widening her audience. Mayne matters in the Canadian country landscape because her work is rooted in a border-city musical environment where country, Motown, rock and R&B overlap, giving her a sound that is recognizably country without being stylistically narrow.
