Northern Dial Artist Profile

Hayku Kyah

Toronto, Ontario (born); Melbourne, Australia (based), Canada / Australia

Hayku Kyah is a Toronto-born hip-hop artist who grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and describes both cities as home. Starting with spoken-word poetry, Kyah developed a recording practice built around rhythm, wordplay and writing about identity, distance and belonging. Australia’s triple j Unearthed lists tracks including “Swan Dive,” “Lune” and 2026’s “he77.”

The single “ain't no sunshine” arrived in October 2026 and is now playing on Northern Dial. The artist’s Canadian connection is birthplace and early upbringing, not a claim of a current Toronto base.
